Short bioNancy L. Jackson is a professor of coastal geomorphology at New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is internationally known for her research on research focuses on understanding the processes of sediment erosion and deposition on beaches and foredunes in estuarine and ocean environments. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. National Park System, NATO, German Academic Exchange Service and National Geographic. She has published over 80 peer reviewed journal articles. She is an associate editor of Estuaries and Coasts and of the Journal of Coastal Research. She currently serves on the Geographical Sciences Committee of the National Academy of Sciences.
